Madden 09 Game Tournament Crowns Winner and Runner Up

East Hampton Project Graduation held its first ever Madden 09 XBOX 360 gaming tournament on Saturday March 7th at the East Hampton Middle School. Gamers from town and several other area towns joined in on the competition and fun to see who truly was the best.

Food, raffles and music were only part of the fun that day. After many hours of competition it came down to two individual players Andrew Briere and Nick Vasquenza both seniors at East Hampton High School. With only 6 seconds left on the clock, the score all tied up and the ball on the 34 yard line both teams knew it was down to this one last play. Andrew had possession of the ball and was preparing to kick a field goal. The ball was snapped, the kick was off and with a scream of excitement, it went through the goal posts. Andrew had won. Andrew had done a much deserved victory lap around the room and then was joined by Nick for his congratulatory hand shake. Denise Nowakowski presented Nick (#33) with his $250.00 runner up check while Jim Dufour presented Andrew (in shorts) with his First place check for $500.00.

East Hampton Project Graduation would like to thank all of the volunteers, sponsors and contributors for their help in making this event a huge success. Events and fund raisers such as these are held throughout the year to raise money to send our graduating seniors on a substance free graduation party at an undisclosed location at no charge to them. If you would like to join our committee, find out more about our fund raisers or would like to make a donation to the committee please feel free to contact Jim Dufour at (860) 982-0200 or email him at ljd@ctcarpentry.net
